Mindful Mandalas Workshop
2 November @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEST$49
Have you ever sat on the beach and become mesmerised in the rhythm of the waves?
Have you sat by a campfire and watched as the dancing flames held you captivated?
Have you ever looked at a flower and marvelled at the perfect symmetry and delightful colours and become transfixed as time seemed to stand still?
This is what nature can do to you when you stop long enough to admire its wonder. This is called Mindfulness - a blissful way to pause and be in the moment. These are the moments your spirit craves especially when the ego drives you to do more often at the cost of your health.
When you do give yourself permission to ‘stop and smell the roses’, as the cliché goes, you become aware of the tiny details of life and if you stop long enough, you can notice the patterns in nature: the rhythm of your breath, the perfect symmetry of a lady bug’s wings, the repeated patterns of a stand of bamboo and the geometry of a daisy – nature’s own mandala.
Patterns, rhythms and cycles, like the seasons, in nature make us feel comforted and reassured, meeting our need for certainty amid the chaos of our lives and we know that nature is as it should be. Mandalas, with their repeated patterns and sacred geometry, are a portal into that perfect world where we learn how to be at one with time, space and self - we learn to be in FLOW.
In this workshop, you are going to experience the bliss of Mindfulness, to tap into your innate creativity and to enter into a state of Flow while exploring the joy of working with the patterns and symmetry of nature. You are going to create your OWN Mandala.
‘Mandalas are found among the most ancient art forms created by human beings. Rock carvings found all over the world incorporate the circular form and its variations such as spirals, crosses, concentric circles. It is thought that they express worshipful awe of nature’s cycles and the mysteries of life and death. The alternation of day and night, the ever-changing moon, and the rhythms of the seasons are aptly expressed by circular designs.’
